Welcome to Illinois SADD

More than saying "No"

Originally, the mission of the SADD chapter was to help young people say "No" to drinking and driving. Today, the mission has expanded. Students have told us that positive peer pressure, role models and other strategies can help them say "No" to more than drinking and driving. And that is why SADD has become a peer leadership organization dedicated to preventing destructive decisions, particularly underage drinking, other drug use, impaired driving, teen violence and teen depression and suicide.

Illinois SADD is housed in the Student Assistance Center at Prevention First. 

Prevention FirstPrevention First is a nonprofit resource center committed to building and supporting healthy drug-free communities through public education, professional training and effective tools for those working to prevent drug use and related issues such as violence, teen pregnancy and academic failure.  Illinois SADD Chapters will find useful resources such as the free drug prevention materials available through the Clearinghouse, and are able to check out additional resources from the lending library.  Check out the  Prevention Forum online and download your issue today.
